Its raining
We have been incrediably lucky with the weather having removed a 10m section of our roof we only had one shower in 10 days so we were able to get the roof reasonably covered by the time it rained although I haven't started slating the roof yet should be ready on Tuesday. With the rain we just have a few pots collecting drips where its leaking through the walls. We have a french group staying called Micra for 2 weeks they are from clemont and are recording 10 tracks in a studio in Plestin Nichol the engineer has a good reputation and I guess its much cheaper than one of the big studios he charges 250€ a day. They described their music as french festival rock I'll have to bore them one night with my dvd of the big band when they played here last summer. Our eldest boy Max is checking out colleges for next year as he completes his bac in June seems to be interested in doing law wants to get a proper job unlike his parents

Almost won the loto
We had a win today not the 180€ million but 8€ 90cts a return of 2.90 on the investment anyway winning all those millions would ruin your life. We are in the middle of redoing our roof having taken it off last Wednesday built up the walls 80cm and replaced all the woodwork . On monday we will put the panels on which will waterproof it then insolation followed by slates towards the end of next week . The forcast is rain on Wednesday so crossed fingers should be OK we have a friend Kas ( he's dutch and its pronounced "case" ) helping which speeds the work up. I helped him last spring planting strawberries and when he had a load of ready mix concrete 6m3 which all had to transported by wheel barrow. No news on the car front the garage quotes are too high so am considering getting an engine from the UK my brother in law has contacts in the garage trade I might end up doing it myself
