Trip to the dentist
Its been a rough week weather wise lots of wind but fortunately no damage . I started a yoga class in Plestin its run by an English guy who is married to a french woman I've known him some time as his parents bought the house of my parents in Plestin 5 years ago and we are in discussion on setting up yoga/walking holidays chez nous.
The worst part of my week has been a trip to the dentist we transferred to him as he has a good reputation and I had already contributed to his new merc a couple years ago.But I don't know whether it was because it was a Friday afternoon, a shortage of anesthetic or he is related to Mengeles but I have never twitched and had so much pain in a dentist 's chair. He kept saying "I don't understand its not working " in french of course. I think it will be long time before I return .
The french had an artical in the paper noting the defeat in Australia in the cricket so someone wrote an entire artical on why the English are rubbish at winning in all sports putting it down to repressed anger in children and Margret Thatcher. I wait to see what they will do in the rugby WC later this year.

Bloavez Matt as they say
That is Breton for happy new year not a lot has happened Christmas was quiet the French make a big thing of the new year partying into the early hours we stay up another hour and go to bed at 10. We have all summer to be social. The weather has been very rough with high winds but all the roofs have stayed on and we are working intertally on a gite so no problems for us, We had our first Russians stay as part of a party of French/Canadians.
There is some good news on the England front at last they have a Cornish captain and from Bude as well so things can only improve I was at school with his aunt ( she was a big girl )
